Someone loves you after all. Everyone’s incessant whining rarely pays off in the land of Facebook (I’m pretty sure it actually makes things worse), but after We Are Nations‘ prototype for the “like” button stamp was well received by the masses, they threw in a “dislike” one too and put it up for sale. Just like what you guys always dreamed!

The Like and Dislike Stamps are available here for about $15.00 each or $30.00 for a set. Yeah, not much gain in bulk, but hey, at least you’ll be stamping your negativity away before Facebook ever gets to it. I’m pretty sure their priorities right now are bugging up the chat function, taking back all their newest privacy changes and turning every other profile upside down. Then again, the dislike button will most likely come before the box of bees they’re sending to everyone’s house.

I’m not really sure when the phenomena of drawing male genitalia began, but I think it was in middle school by all the boys around when their voices started to crack. I’m still not sure how they balanced all that awkward homophobia with continuous boy-privates-sketching, but hey, I was a girl. Why would I understand? Years and years later, not much has changed. I mean, boys still love to doodle weenies and I’m still a girl who doesn’t get it. At least my maturity has magically degenerated to the point where the Cock-a-Doodle will live permanently on my wish list until someone buys it for me. I’m totally going to draw a llama on his crotch, mark my words.

The Cock-a-Doodle Notepad is available from PrankPlace for $6.98.

The automatic default for disguising a wrapped iPad has been putting it in a bigger box. Tried and true, why wouldn’t everyone follow suit? Well, Stefan Magdalinski isn’t everyone. For his dear wife, he covered the damn thing in chocolate.

Relax! He wrapped it in plastic first.

And in order to prevent any destruction to the iPad, like in the case of a certain someone trying to eat it, Stefan planted a ribbon to ensure a safe and easy reveal.

I imagine the result was worth the anxiety of possibly destroying a $500.00+ present. Well played, good man. Well played.

Check out the rest of the pictures and her reactions over at Stefan’s blog, Ahead, Robot!.

My newest blog of interest is one by artist/friend/sister by association, Elissa Rose, tracking her progress in her art and Wacom tablet mastery. Seriously, I envy this girl’s skills. And while I’ve had the pleasure of observing her hard at work in my very own living room, it’s been a trip to keep track of her, step by step via her new blog, ArtByRadioSignals.

If you like what you see, you can hit up Elissa’s Etsy shop, radiosignals, for some fantastical prints. Definitely some killer prices for some spring cleaning treats for your home… Yeah, so what if I want to plug good taste? Go buy that stuff already… Please.

Keep up the great work, Elissa!

Like any convention, Toy Fair was pretty exhausting and it didn’t help that we had lunch 5 hours after I was ready to start stuffing my face. But as I nearly fell asleep, wandering the aisles of crazy people with toys, I stumbled upon the Banana Design Lab booth where I finally got to give the My Beating Heart pillow, which you’ve probably seen on ThinkGeek, a big ol’ hug. For those of you who aren’t familiar, this pillow actually has a pulse. To be more specific, the pulse of someone in a deep sleep. And since heartbeats have the magical power to sync to one another, hugging the pillow physically calms you. Granted, I was pretty sleepy, but holding that pillow, man… I wanted to doze off right there and then, which would probably have been an embarrassment since I was standing and in mid-conversation.

Anywho, the My Beating Heart now comes a smaller size complete with handle for little hands to drag along with them. Needless to say, I’d accept any one of these hearts into my life (and I won’t even try to break them).

I also got a chance to hug Banana Design Lab’s newest snuggle bunny, the ChuChi. Also designed with the little ones in mind, ChuChi is a friend for anyone afraid of the dark. So whether you’re drifting off to sleep or exploring the house after everyone’s gone to bed, this little guy can be your flash/night light. You can even switch between “head” light and a beating “heart” light by squeezing the little button in his hand. Apparently some designers wanted ChuChi to have a little underarm hair, but that didn’t really fly for production. Too bad, that would have been an automatic sale for me. Oh well, I could probably use the company of ChuChi anyway ever since my house started making super scary noises when my roommates are out of town.

Want to buy some Banana Lab Design goodies? The head on over to their site where they can direct you to online stores and, better yet, local stores near you carrying their product. Support your local economy! Buy me snuggly presents!

Perfect for anti-Valentines and fans of anatomy and guts, this heart only has one thing to offer. More heart.
Cards are a strange accessory to gifts and occasions. They’re nice and all, but how did one create a successful mega industry based on these little pieces of paper? I will never understand. Wait, yes I do. We’re lazy. Fair enough! But if you want to shake it up and give a card with a little extra pizazz, you can always just send your heart (complete with protective rib cage). Let’s just hope the receiver has the heart to put you together.

The Ribcage With Heart card is available from the xlessthan3’s Etsy shop for $9.00.
