Lloyd Dobler Mobler

So apparently I missed out on the chance of a lifetime. In celebration of the 20th anniversary/Blu-Ray release of Say Anything, aka the film that ruined my life, a mobler of Lloyd Doblers gathered in Time Square to blast our hearts with a little Peter Gabrielle.
Unfortunately, the picture is much cooler than the video where they’re all just kinda hanging around while some master sound system croons “In Your Eyes.” Don’t get me wrong, I’ve been waiting for this moment all my life but wouldn’t it had been super sweet if each boom box was playing its own cassette on its own time? Yeah, it’d be noisy, but I’d probably have an easier time cruising through the crowd looking for the right Lloyd Dobler for me. You know, let the moment happen on its own.
Now if you’ll excuse me, I owe my John Cusack shrine a visit (and a sacrifice).
