The Breakable Plate
By nikkita | July 22, 2009

Breaking plates sucks. Wait, allow me to reword that: Breaking plates that you like and/or need sucks. That’s why designer Alexander Hulme came up with the “Breakable” plate, a plate that breaks into two upon destruction. Sure there are plenty of kinks to iron out in this concept, like the danger of sharp jagged edges and bits of broken plate in your food, but you got to hand it to him. It’s pretty clever. Plus, bleeding wounds have never stopped me from enjoying a meal.
