World’s Biggest Atlas
By nikkita | October 16, 2008
If you thought you could kill someone with a single Encyclopedia, then you could probably cause the equivalent damage of a steam roller with this monster of an atlas. With 576 pages of 154 maps, 800 photos and four six-feet by four-feet fold-outs, it’s no wonder that Millennium House’s Earth is the world’s biggest atlas. Keep in mind, if you have a bad back, you may want a buddy to help you pull this 70 pound masterpiece down from the shelf. And if you’re healthy, a spotter would be advised. Millenium House will only be publishing 3,000 copies of Earth, 2,000 of which will be a standard edition selling for $3,500. The deluxe “gold” version (the other 1,000 copies) will sport gold leather, gold gilding, and gold plated corners for a mere $5,500. Yowzah!
