The Birds Barbie-fied

Mattel is no stranger to a fancy Barbie, and boy have we gotten fancy this year. In celebration of Hitchcock’s classic The Birds, Mattel is releasing a special collectible The Birds Barbie doll in October of 2008. Sure Melanie Daniels wasn’t looking too fresh by the end of the film, but she sure looks great now. Dressed in her little green suit with feathered friends at hand, this socialite is willing to hold off the screeching to hang out on your shelf.
I’m really hoping this is the beginning of a collection of Hitchcock heroine Barbies. They’re all just so iconic! A Marky Mark Ken doll on the other hand? Not so much. (Stop Trying M. Night Shyamalan)
