Seussy Trees In France
By nikkita | June 3, 2008

Shown above is the Pergola pop art Monet tribute that decorated the trees of Le Havre City Hall. But no there was no Lorax here speaking on behalf of any trees. The artist responsible was the Montreal-based landscape architect Claude Cormier. Now no trees were harmed in the process. What you see here actually was 90,000 plastic balls. Yeah, I was kind of hoping this was some kind of bubble gum candy tree hybrid that maybe I could grow in my backyard. Bummer. I was totally going to be its best friend.
