World’s Largest LED Billboard Being Built In Times Square
By nikkita | May 27, 2008

Times Square really wasn’t bright enough so it was agreed that the best solution was to construct a monstrous LED billboard. And because the light deficiency of Times Square is in such a state of turmoil, they decided to go ahead and make it the world’s largest LED billboard. What makes it so big? Apart from being 212 ft. high and weighing 250,000 lbs, the board holds 12 million LEDs. In other words, prepare yourself New Yorkers and tourists to be blinded by super high resolution video ads. Luckily there’s plenty of tables on the street corners that sell cheap knock-off sunglasses. You’re definitely going to need them.
