She Ate Bluuuuue Velvet…

Well here’s a refreshing change from the video game themed cakes and goodies. Inspired by David Lynch’s brilliant film, Blue Velvet, the Blue Velvet cake was featured on PostPunkKitchen. Best part about this Van-Gough-esque bloody ear adorned goody? It’s vegan.
Though I trust that I would have become a David Lynch fan on my own, I was born into David Lynch fan-dom. My entire family adores him and his works, and my earliest memories of childhood I remember sitting together to watch Twin Peaks. I can definitely say, as unappetizing this cake may seem, there’s no doubt that any/every David Lynch fan would have no problem downing it. Most likely in hopes of embodying some brilliance.
If you haven’t seen Blue Velvet…do it. But beware. Like any David Lynch film, it may hurt your head.
