3-Way Chess Hurts My Brain
By nikkita | March 7, 2008

I think it goes without saying that Chess is one of the greatest games ever (if the not the greatest). It’s the original ultimate strategy game, it’s universal, it’s endurable and will outlive us all. I mean, unless the planet blows up or something.
So why would you want to touch a game that’s already perfect. To mess with our heads, that’s why. Hailing from the Czezh Republic, here’s the ultimate brain-fudge: 3-way Chess. The same rules apply apart from some alternate rules for moves in the center of the board. Great. Chess alone already gets me wound up and paranoid as it is, but now I have to worry about two people working against me? Sounds like the layout for some serious backstabbing 2 against 1 action. Man, it’d be super annoying to be the weakest player.
