I Want To Pet A Pleo

Watching this video on BotJunkie from the passing Game Developer’s Conference, the Pleo has managed to win me over. So they have two samples: one finished, and the other showing off what’s actually going on inside. Notice how affectionate the finished Pleo is. Robots terrify me, but this Pleo has seriously won my heart.
Certain features like camera and motion sensors make me uneasy. But then I remember it’s a touch sensitive dinosaur. And then I remember how I’ll never be able to have a dinosaur. And then I remember just how much I want a dinosaur. I guess for $350, we can meet somewhere in the middle. Just look at that face. Ugh! Death by cuteness.I consulted Joe, who has just returned from GDC, about the Pleo, and I can’t tell if he’s fighting the love or is just really scared of it. Regardless, he awarded me with stickers that I plan to stick to my ceiling so I can dream of my future pet dinosaur.
