Spherical Office

Desks tend to get messy, and that mess is not only a magnet for more mess, but a kind of eye sore that doesn’t present you very well, professionally. The Globus, designed by Michiel van der Kley, inspires simplicity and tidiness in the workspace. What first looks to be just a globe actually folds out into a two part mini office of a desk with a swivel chair. It kind of reminds me of all of that fold up furniture from A Clockwork Orange.
I’m thinking about trading in my desk in at work for one of these things. It’s signifiantly smaller, but it is a globe. My desk at work: not a globe.
