iPod Warning Ads
By nikkita | January 14, 2008

These shocking ads were created by an Australian ad agency to bring attention to the many teenagers being hit by cars while using their iPods on the streets. Definitely some images to rile up those in favor of banning sidewalk iPod use. But there are some questions I’d like to raise. As a an iPod owner, who uses an iPod as a appeasing way to get through my day, I agree people need to get their act together. Safety is always first and walking out onto the road without looking around or being able to hear anything is in fact dangerous and will result in some life threatening consequences. While reading other bloggers responses I have to agree that I don’t really see the point. If you don’t look when you cross the street, you’re an idiot. You shouldn’t be blabbing on your phone, it’s annoying. Chewing with your mouth open is kind of gross. So where do we draw the line on everything? There’s a point where your common sense should not need to be enforced by the law. Is our society really regressing to this point?
How so sad…so very very sad.
